Pity for "Other Stuff I've been looking at", but thanks so much for the time and effort you put into your updates.

Thanks for the kind words!

Don't worry, I think I've got a pretty good replacement for the "Other Stuff" section coming up from next week 🙂

Questions---weak US equity sectors going to go no where with tax loss selling?

Do US target date funds need to buy more stocks?

How to rationalize high FX/MOVE vol and lower VIX going lower?

Good questions, incomplete answers: no idea about how impactful tax loss selling will be or whether it will be sector-specific. Over the last few days I've seen the charts with projected stock buybacks now that companies get out of their blackout periods: about $5 billion per day. That's heavy.

As for FXvol/MOVE vs. VIX: no clear opinion here, they are all different things and just aspects of the larger whole. MOVE has been creeping higher since September last year, stocks made their high in January. I think it's worrisome but if you want to know why, you need to ask one of the many people who are a lot smarter than me.
